It is the mission of the New Jersey Alliance for Social-Emotional and Character Development (NJASECD) to develop life-long learners who are responsible citizens prepared to enter the global society. The Alliance assists educators and all other stakeholders in their efforts to foster ethical, responsible and caring people as they model and teach the social-emotional skills and core ethical values that lead to good character.
NJASECD is a network dedicated to educating its members regarding pertinent research, fostering best practices, facilitating the exchange of resources and ideas, and advocating for the importance of a collaborative and caring organizational climate, and a healthy school culture.

2023-24 Board of Trustee Meetings
Meetings of NJASECD are open to anyone interested in promoting Character Education,
Social-Emotional Learning, positive school culture and climate in New Jersey’s schools.
While the meetings are open to all, only members of the organization are able to vote on
decisions by the Board of Trustees. Most of our meetings are now held online using Zoom.

We plan to hold at least one in-person meeting per year at:
NJPSA, 12 Centre Drive,
Monroe Township, NJ
This meeting will be determined by the board and announced with sufficient lead time.
